The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger. It will really appeal to someone as young as you. Its about a young man named Holden Caulfield who is very depressed and troubled. It follows his trip through new york after failing a very expensive private school, explores his past, and is told from his perspective (1st person narratives are very interesting and puzzling). I read this about a year ago and strongly recommend it to young adult readers.

Probably one of my all time favorite books would have to be: Marley and Me by John Grogan. It is such a touching book that will really make someones emotions go haywire. One minute you'll be laughing and then you'll be sad. You may have already read it, seeing as it was on #1 Top Seller. If your a dog lover, then its a must read but if you want a good book this is also the one.

Anything by Paul Coehlo is great. Veronika Decides To Die and The Devil and Mrs. Prym are 2 that I especially liked. I'm reading Mitch Albom's books now...love them. That book Lovely Bones (I read that other answer) is a good book but it's actually a very depressing and difficult read. At the same time, I couldn't put that one down either.

I love the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer!
Some other favorites are The Memory Keeper's Daughter, Undressing the Moon, and the Daughters of the Moon series by Lynne Ewing. Amelia Atwater-Rhodes books have never steered me wrong either.

It depends on what genre you like i really like Lovely Bones its about a teenage girl who is raped and then killed and in the story she talks about it from Heaven. Also i recommend the book Stuck in Neutral which is about a boy who is a genius but he lives with Cerebral Palsy and he thinks his dad is out to kill him. They are very interesting books you will definitely enjoy them :]
