Well a common thing women say in what they find attractive in a man is one who is confident, kind and has a good sense of humor/funny and intelligence as well. So with that said, I was curious what combinations women like more or if it would be even or one favored overall than the other. So, what would you choose or prefer? A man who is brilliant, very knowledgeable, and witty and impressive with his intelligence, but has a moderate sense of humor. Or a man with a great sense of humor and is funny, but not overboard of course, as a man, especially comedians can be overboard. But the man has a great sense of humor and funny in the charming way that is very attractive, of course. But is of average intelligence. Not dumb, or unknowledgeable, but definitely not brilliant either and moderate intellectually speaking. Please don't be greedy and say both, lol, or don't say none either. For the sake of this question, if you had to choose one or the other, which would you choose and why?

When I say humor, I don't mean as in childish or stupid jokes. Or I don't mean in saying jokes. But a person who just had good timing and just says cute, funny stuff that makes everyone laugh, like wiseass remarks or something of that nature, but in a sincere way or playful way and not of mean nature, which some guys do. So this isn't about choosing humor over intelligence where one is not intelligent or the other is not funny, because both have some humor and intelligence but it's just that one man has more humor and the other has more intelligence. So it's about the different degrees and which would women prefer between the men and their degrees of intellect and humor between each other.

but...if I must choose....
great personality/sense of humor and moderate intelligence wins over brilliant and witty, as I like a man who I can feel at ease with.
Ive dated both types.
The extreme intellect is interesting and respectable... but can be way too ANALytical....and "stuffed shirt" like.
I like a man that is moderate/ balanced, down to earth,open minded and fun to be with.

I'd say a sense of humor is more importance, because that's natural and fun and laughter is the key to a happy friendship in the relationship.
Also, I believe that even if you are not overly academic or intelligent you can still take an interest in things and learn. You can read articles of interest, or learn things together and have a conversation about it. If I was with a man who was super intelligent then I'd probably feel a little inferior.
I find the most important factors are that he is caring, loving, honest, knows how to have some fun and isn't big headed or loves himself at all.

I would have to choose a man with a great sense of humor and average intelligence only b/c some men especially the ones I know tend to get vert cocky and egotistical when they are super smart! A man that always can make me laugh and cheer me up and not challenge/overpower me with his intelligence is perfect! Hope that helps!

Man with a great sense of humor and of moderate intelligence. As long as he is not a complete moron I'd choose humor over intelligence any day.

You are missing something very important here: it takes a considerable intelligence to be entertaining. There are many types of humor. Silly jokes bore me to death. I need to be mentally challenged. That requires a considerable brilliance, because I do not have time for idiocy of any kind. Therefore, brilliant and a sharp witted man for me only. BTW, people like that make much better lovers (personal experience), than your silly village idiot anyhow. So, there is absolutely no reason for wasting your time on someone who is cute, but not quite exciting enough...

Humor is nice but I prefer someone intelligent. I tend to appreciate irony more than jokes anyways and I'd much rather have someone I can have plenty of intelligent conversations with.

i would chose a man with alot of humor and moderate intelligence.
but i already love someone who is gifted and brillianly smart and has a awsome sence of humor!!!

Looks first (because I'm shallow that way) humor second (because I like fun) And yes average intelligence! (because I want to be able to have conversations as well) That'll work for me!

I need my mind stimulated. I like an intelligent man. I do plenty of joking myself so I think that is a good combo.

more humor than intelligence, most deffinately. i want a guy who will make me laugh, its the way to any girls heart, as long as you don't joke around about your FEELINGS or her heart. being intelligent gets aggravating sometimes because the guy tends to always want to prove you wrong, and it get irritating.
being sensitive is another way to a girls heart, by the way. sweet talking her is probably the cutest thing ever.
