And ready to go for the New Year?
Mine are:
1) Quit Smorking, I smork too much as it is.
2) Lose weight, get into better shape
3) Eat healthier, cut out cheese( which I love)

I am going to do (2) and (3).
I pretty much achieved (1) when my husband became ill ( we both gave up smoking then although lately I have slipped a bit)
I have already got a docs appointment for 31st Dec ( I hurt my arm lately but have been putting off getting seen to because I have been too busy with other things) I have discussed weight loss with my doc and will do that when the time is right.
I don't think I could cut out cheese though but the garden is coming into production ( its summer here in Australia) and all those fresh veggies do tend to make you feel like eating well. I don't know why but fresh garden lettuce and radishes sort of feel real good in the old tummy.

Yes all of your resolutions!! I have gained about 60 lbs over the last 6 years..just can't get around as well because of severe pain from varicose veins..am having surgery on the 14th...need to quit smoking before then because I don't want any complications with anesthesia. I was told I will have to walk for a 1/2 hour every day for a while to improve blood flow because of the surgery...so...I am determined to get rid of all these extra chubs that have invaded my body. Also, here cigs are going up $1.00 a pack on January 1st...just too much money to spend on a bad habit. Everyone...please wish me luck!!! and have a Wonderful New Year!!

I don't bother with New Years Resolutions, I try to accomplish what I want or need to when I need to do so, not based on the time of year.

Good luck with quiting smoking, losing weight and eating healthier. That is an ongoing list for nearly everyone on Earth.

Happy New Year.

I do not have a list, he, he... but I have a top of the list... my priority is to work on my priorities... My husband, Mr. Practical says: you gotta plan your work and work your plan...I guess I'm still just trying to figure out my plan but actually I am with Hopeless here... no more resolution list! I'll act on it as I decide to. I do need to lose weight though ...

1. Fit my size 7-8 pants
2. Cook a meal a week from my recipe books
3. Get my mom out more (83 years old)
4. Learn a French phrase a day

I'm going to print it up on a large piece of paper and post it.
I never did that before. Maybe seeing it will help me achieve it ;)

With your history of heart trouble, you had better live up to that list. I use my same old list of resolutions every year, I'm just not very disciplined anymore. I never did smoke much and I quit altogether 26 years ago when I quit drinking. What else is left?

New Year is not the best time to give up smoking as the failure rate is very high which is why we aren't giving up next week. We will one day just not yet. Having a teenage daughter as we do, and all the stresses that's bringing us at the moment is not conducive to a successful stopping of the nicotine. LOL.
We wish you success in your list of resolutions. xx

I need to get that list written... so that I can throw it in the fire on new years eve! The only resolution I have ever been able to keep is that throughout the new year I resolve not to kill anyone. So far so good!

I don't need a list. I only want to do one thing. QUIT SMOKING. I have 8 cigarettes left and they will be gone in the morning. I have been going to the why quit.com site everyday this week and reading and reading. Helps my resolve. Take a look at it Wally. Good luck to both of us.
