I figure he ignored at least 10 of my calls/text messages ... so does that mean I can ignore all of his calls/text messages until Saturday or Sunday ....?

And no, sending me a text that says: "Thinking of you! XOXO" is sooo NOT an apology !!!

What would be the proper punishment ...... ????

I'd make him beg, plead, get on his knees and apologise,he was wrong, dead wrong!!
Even though,he is in Florida and with all that scattered tail running around,I'm sure he isn't thinking about you much.
WHY???? Because he's a man!!!

Yes you can ignore his text messages for a while. He never apologized.

Text him that you are still mad about Christmas. Don't let him go on thinking its okay for him to be such a jerk cause he'll do it again.

When you see him or if he texts you back, meet him for breakfast or lunch. Being in a public place will help you to control your anger when you tell him you didn't appreciate how he treated you.

Be level headed he will not see things the way you do (something may have happened that day), so keep cool...until he gives you more reason not to.

What he did was really inconsiderate. Is it possible that he has some bad feelings toward the holiday season? Maybe he didn't mean to hurt your feelings so badly.
I don't know how long you 2 have been together or how much you want him to be a part of your life, but if he's too important for you to let him go over this then I would suggest talking to him when he gets back into town and see what he has to say for himself. Maybe don't totally ignore him, just let him know now that he really hurt your feelings and that you would rather not fight with him over the phone. Tell him that you just want some time to cool off while he's out of town and that you'll see him when he gets back.

You should really find out what his deal is. Unfortunately, the first person to respond is probably right...he doesn't care if you're mad. You are simply ruining your own day. Clearly what he did was unacceptable, it is not polite or okay on any day let alone on a holiday. Explain to him how rude he was and see if you two can figure out why and if he will stop behaving like this.

BUT if you are looking for better punishment, it's really annoying to be ignored. Don't talk to him until he comes home from Florida.

YOu can be mad as long as you feel the need! & till you don't wont to be mad anymore! Hours, days, weeks, years or forever! your choice. But you should pick your battles. Most guys hate the whole Christmas and gift thing! Maybe he had a lot on his mind about things he had to do. You just never know whats in a man's mind!!! They don't express very easily.
He may never give you the apology you desperately want to hear so just accept the one he attempts to give if you want to continue in this relationship somewhat normally. Don't dwell on things or pick things apart, you will find 1 million & 1 things wrong everyday. Thats a miserable life!!!! You'll end up destroying what you do have.....I think you will be punishing yourself more than him by your actions, he probably won't even know your mad! Men I tell you, you can't live with em & you can't live without em either!!!!!!!!!!!!

He didnt ignore them, he couldnt very well take them while banging that girl he met at the bar after leaving your apt, now could he? That would be rude, and it WAS Christmas.

You can stay angry at him until you decide to move on, and put this clown behind you. But why waste all that time being angry?
