It's legal but it does have to be at 12:01am on your birthday. And most clubs and bars require your I.d not to be expired (usually when you turn 21 it expires.. so check your expiration date.)

God your generation is a bunch of sheep! You are really going to let some ridiculous rule keep you from enjoying your 21st birthday. I'm sure you won't have a problem finding a bar that will serve you and your friends on your 21st birthday even if it is at midnight. It is your duty as a good American to defy stupid laws if that is the case in PA. .....Oh and happy Birthday!

Umm why the hell is it illegal to go outside at midnight for people not 21? thats freakin dumb and they have right to say who can and can not go out in the street. Im glad i live where i still have some freedom left i was 18 and had no curfew laws or nothing.

The night before I turned 21, I went out to this cool little club here in NYC and they let me drink. Then the night where I was going to turn 21 at midnight, let me drink before midnight.

You are 21 the midnight of the day of your birth. Not the actual time you were born. So if you want to party, you have 2 hours, have a designated driver!

If it's before midnight of your birthday, the bouncer shouldn't let you in.
Usually, people go out AFTER they've turned 21, IE, the night of their birthday.

Why would it be illegal? As long as you're not in a 21 and over place before you are 21, and as long as you aren't drinking before you are 21, you should be able to drink after midnight.
