I would love to see Montreal win the Cup, not only because they are long overdue, but because for sentimental reasons. My grandfather loves the Canadiens, and it would be cool to watch a Cup final with him. That's what we did back in 1993, and it was a wonderful history lesson for me, hearing him talk about the players he grew up watching and rooting for. I would like to be the one telling stories this time around.

Hmm... tough question
Well, maybe the Thrashers - even though they're big division rivals, I can relate to them because they're also a Southern team (besides the Hurricanes) And that would help to build up the hockey fanbase down here.
Then maybe the Avs... I actually used to be an Avs fan when they actually played their games on TV around here
Also, I don't think I'd mind the Canucks winning, since I was hoping they would have had a chance last season. As much as I would hate all the "ohh, we got it back where it belongs" stuff if a Canadian team won it, it would also eliminate the talk of how such-and-such city doesn't deserve hockey... both of those things get under my skin

I don't like Nashville at all. I think their jersey is ugly as sin and their former ownership was a joke... but I would love to see the organization win the Cup.
There's all this talk about Nashville not being a hockey town and how they're undeserving of a team and how hockey can't work in Tennessee (move the team to Canada stuff). Then they sold an impressive amount of season tickets to help keep the team this season (and got new ownership) -- I think it would be a great story for the city, the NHL and hockey in general.
Next on the list would be Chicago. If those 2 kids in Chicago could carry the Blackhawks out of the dumpster into the Cup finals this season, it would be an impressive story that all sports fans would follow.

I hope my great, great, great.etc. grandchildren put a hat on my grave when the Leafs win the Cup. Oilers, Canucks or Flames would be nice. Any team except the Sens. I don't want Alfreddson to get a cup and not Sundin.

If my Canadiens can't win it - and they're not going to - then I'd probably cheer for one of the Alberta teams to win since that's where I live. It was fun to watch everyone's excitement and enthusiasm when the Oilers made the 2006 finals, and it would be cool to see that again. In a way, it puts most of the city here in a better mood.

Okay not including my favourite team, I'd have to say the Sabres, or the Sens. I would not mind to see them the 2008 Stanley Cup Champions.

I'd have to go with the Canadians. The team I don't want to see win it, the Red Wings.

the only reason i would say the Blackhawks is because i would have a reason to cheer for them if Buffalo didnt win it (Patrick Kane Buffalo native) and it would be cool for 2 rookies to win they have already proved that they turned that team around especially compared to last year

My Leafs will never win the Cup anytime soon. Any other Canadian team is fine.
