You have to know the conspiracies to know what im talking about

Yes to both -- in other words, the "official" stories are true. The conspiracy theories are fun to play with, but there's no good evidence to support either. (I would like to believe that Dillinger got away because that would be such a great story, but the facts just aren't there.)

Yes, Booth died that way it was reported. There's no doubt about it. The same with Dillinger. It's just more intereresting to think otherwise, so someone tries to perpetrate the rumor every now and again.

Just to clarify:

Oswald shot Lincoln
Yes, we did go to the Moon
Hitler did die in the bunker
Booth was shot by Boston Corbett
Jim Morrison died, too.

Anyone we miss?

Considering that Booth was accused of a murder that occurred over 140 years ago, I'm pretty firm in my belief that he died. I'm not altogether clear on when or how, but if he's not dead, I'd sure like to hear someone's theory.

I love a good conspiracy, but I believe they both died when history says they died.
