No. If I have nothing to hide, I may not fear people trying to blackmail me, but I'll still have a fear of being brutally murdered by a serial killer. I'll fear lions and tigers and bears (oh my). And being caught in an accident with drunk drivers.
But hey, at least I'll live (or die) with a clean conscience.

To some extent.
My ex was an interrogator in the IDF (Israeli Defense Force).
His job was to interrogate the Israeli soldiers to disclose all their secrets. The theory behind this was that if a particular soldier was kidnapped...the enemy could never blackmail him and compromise the security of Israel.
No secrets...more safety...less fear...
