Depends on who you ask. DS Lite has brighter screens. It requires a different charging plug than the origional DS. So if you have a gba sp, and share the charging plug... that's a small set back. Also, if you plug a gba game in to the gba port, they stick on a DS Lite. And of course a DS Lite is a bit smaller. Other than that, nothing different.

I have had both and the DS Lite is the way to go. It is a little more compact and I think for memory that the screen is more brighter and clearer. See link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp7Be1qsblI for a quick comparison. Hope this helps.

Yep. It's lighter and much slimmer. Much better than the original DS because it can easily stay in your pocket..(Well for me...). It also looks hell of a lot better.

yes it is because it is smaller and it can show your games in a brighter picture.
