You didn't give much info like if you are male or female, or age but here goes......learn to write poetry, learn to service your car, bake cookies and deliver them to an elderly person, visit with said elderly person, volunteer your time to a soup kitchen, animal shelter, nursing home, ect, bake bread, learn yoga or read all the classics!

Here's a classic books list: http://www.cincinnatilibrary.org/booklists/?id=classics

Suggestion No1: Write short stories that revolve around your friends. That way they will want to read your story.

Suggestion No2: Do skywatching. A common misconception is that you need a telescope to look at the sky, but all you need is your eyes.

Suggestion No3: Talk to random strangers at random intervals to see their responses. Who knows you might get a kiss! (Or more!!!)

Suggestion No4: Adopt a beaver. Beavers are vastly underrated and they are quite good at building dams.

Suggestion No5: Do some art. Doesn't have to be painting or drawing, just mess around on a computer. A good image program is Photofiltre, which can be downloaded for free.

Suggestion No6: Learn some international cooking. This is more fun because it usually needs more ingredients.

Suggestion No7: Learn to breakdance, you might get healthy.

Suggestion No8: Try breaking some world records such as the most number of chocolate bars eaten in a minute.

Suggestion No9: Try to do astrophotography that is better than the Hubble Space Telescope. This is possible (a guy called Rob Gendler did this) but it does cost a lot of money and takes at least a decade.

Suggestion No10: Dress up as a monk and go disco dancing. This might improve the image problem of monks. (What image problem?!)

Are you bored because you are lazy, or lazy because you are bored? Right now , you have the World by the tail , on a downhill pull and the World is on a banana skin. When you keep the mind occupied in learning vocabulary, history, the Constitution, anything, life is less boring and you become more intelligent. Then you will be able to pick out a new hobby all by your self and be proud of your choice.

Try coin collecting. It doesn't have to cost you a lot. You can go to the bank and pick of a box of coin (whichever denomination you like) for exactly face value. A box of pennies is $25, a box of nickels is $100, a box of dimes is $250 and boxes of quarters or half dollars are $500. You don't have to buy the whole box. The bank can pull out whatever amount you like.

Once you get a box, you can go through and pull out the better coins (there are books to help with this or websites). You can pick up a coin album and try to fill all the holes (get one for each year) or just search for interesting ones.

The coins that you don't want can be returned to the bank and put straight back into your account (though it's often better to return the coins to a different bank (not just a different branch but a different bank) so that you don't search the same coins over and over). Everything you find will have been obtained at face value. You'd be surprised what people have found. Check out these links to see:

Also check your change for interesting finds.

Some things to search for: wheat pennies, silver dimes, silver quarters, old coins, error coins, coins with the "S" mintmark - it could be a proof coin etc. There's always the chance that you could find a real treasure!

It's also helpful to buy a red book. It can help you price your coins and will answer many of the questions you may have.

OR IF THAT'S NOT FOR YOU...

Crochet! It's fun and easy and cheap to get started.

Joann's craft store sells a pack of three crochet hooks for a little over $5. You can find yarn on sale there too, sometimes two for $5. And yarn needles are a little over $2.

Patterns can be found ALL OVER the web for FREE.

You can go to crochet.about.com and they have a lot of "how to crochet" pages with great pictures that really help.

The great thing about crochetting is that you never knot anything... so if you mess up, you can unravel the yarn and try again. You barely use any yarn. There are also a lot of small projects to make... like finger puppets!

Just go try different things. Try different things that your friends do first as it will be easier to try. If you are near some places sports of all sorts is a nice hobby that helps keep you healthy and meets new people. Just remember that some hobbies cost a bit but some can be as cheap or as expensive as you make them. Try fishing, photograghy and such. Just explore.

how about knitting? I love it. It can be as complicated or somple as you want. I like doing easy projects as I watch television. I have also been learning to make beaded jewelry, it takes more attention but with some beautiful results
