During the teenage years, girls are possessed by horrible demons. Coincidentally, these are the same demons that possess people in the entertainment industry. Thus, all those moronic tv shows and movies appeal to these possessed teenaged girls.

I know I was kind of like that when I was a teenager. I never screamed over the Backstreet Boys or N'Sync or stuff liek that, but I really liked them and had their poster covering every inch of free space on my walls and ceiling. I think that it has a lot to do with the fact that girls are realizing that they like boys and they are infatuated with the idea of "being with a celebrity" I guess you could call these MAJOR crushes. Even though they know the celebrities are out of their reach it is the idea....get my drift. It also might have something to do with the fact that there sitn anyone like these celebrities that they know. its like a whole different world. A much better, happier, fun world than the real world they are living in which is something teenagers have a hard time accepting anyway. I dont know this may not have made any sense to you at all but from at adult females point of view........

the girls that are like that are probably like 12-14 or something. That's not really teen to me. That's the age I was when I was in love with NSYNC. Although I didn't make websites or anything, I did have posters and stuff lol. I don't know why girls are like that though, it is pretty annoying the way these girls are obessed with all things Disney Channel. Maybe its because that's when girls are starting to really like boys and the boys their own age seem immature or look younger than than the boys on tv. It's hormones lol. And although we get less obsessed as we get older, we always idealize guys in movies and TV (look at women in their 40's obsessed over the guy on Grey's Anatomy lol). Women are always looking for the perfect guy, and of course we don't see the flaws in the guys on tv. But I AGREE that the girls need to stop asking a million questions about Effron and Jonas bros. No one has their e-mail and no one can help you meet them. Sorry. That's not meant to sound mean though.

I know I don't get it. Teenage girls are always crazy. Well I'm 14 and I am not crazy. I am not boy crazy and I focus on school and education. I couldn't care less what people think of Miley Cyrus because I hate her. Although I kinda like the Jonas Brothers but that's just a girl thing.

It sounds to me like you are just an exceptionally mature teenager. All teens are crazy:) The teen boys in my family obsess over girls the way that you described the girls. True, my sister is a lot worse than my male cousins but girls are more emotional and outspoken. I think that girls and boys probably feel the same but express it differently.

I am a teenage girl and I think all those things are extremely childish. I guess some girls aren't ready to grow up, but some of us are. I think it is funny because one minute you hear these people talking about Hannah Montana and high School Musical and the next minute you hear them talking about Tilla Tequila or whatever her name is. They are so inconsistent it is becoming annoying. They need to go to one extreme or another and stop trying to act two and twenty-two at the same time.

Trust me having been a teenager (girl), I never really tripped on celebrities. It seems that now they (celebrities) are so much in our faces through the media whereby they openly cat fight, call each other names and act completely like they have no brains, that some teenagers become obsessed with celebritydom thinking it's cool and want to be just like them. There aren't enough role models out there that talk about that it's cool to just be who you are and not phony or living in a fantasy world. While I think Hanna Montana is okay, she is still a star and a smart one, she's just figured out a way to do it differently like act soulful, believe me, they all have their tricks to maintain their cool and keep their money rolling' in. I wonder however, how really cool they are sometimes. I guess girls want to be just like them. They think it's cool to be like them. Sometimes teenagers lives are filled with so much turmoil that this talk is more of a cover up rather than of who the kid really is. It's sad that I see more and more girls who have more plastic than ever but can't write a simple paragraph. Or they know more about what happened to Lindsay Lohan than about the genocide in Darfur or hunger in our own country! Our society and the times in which we live I do believe have a tremendous affect on our girls. They feel that they have to be in competition to be recognized. It's sad.

I know! Zac Efron - ew. and Justin Timberlake - how amusing. Lets face it. Being a teenager sucks. Its the hormones. Everything is hard because you don't really know who you are yet. I look back on my teenage years and think "Thank God that's over". All that angst. Its foul and depressing. Don't think that teenage guys don't look just as mental and try-hardish. But don't worry. It'll pass.

Okay, we are not crazy. Get that straight or you'll never get a girlfriend. We like those things because they are young, fun, and are what's in. It's also that if their friends like it, so do they. I like the Jonas brothers because they are cool and are like real people. I like Hannah Montana because her music is good. The same reason goes for High School Musical. The point is they are entertaining and are fun to watch.
