I want to answer this, but I am a little puzzled. Like what is ghauty? Gaunt? Gaudy? -and kuld? could? I suspect this is aimed at someone in particular. Am I right?

I'm sorry, but I have to be blunt. Your words are very strange and hard to understand.

As to poems, I like the depth of thought and emotion we can find in them, but I agree with the next answer, too, in this way. Poets on here ARE a dime a dozen and for most, that would be paying too much.

I do enjoy, however reading GOOD poets. Ones who express themselves clearly and almost invariably in careful rhyme and metre. I think that shows the ability of a good poet. Look at people like Robert Frost for instance, or Geoffrey Chaucer.

I can't stand "free verse", which to me is not poetry at all.

That's my not-so-humble opinion -hee hee.

Although I have written many poems, I dislike reading them. I much prefer the short story or novel. Poets, especially on this forum, are a dime a dozen and write melodramatic morbid and depressing scenarios.

I like poems because they stimulate the mind and require thinking...I love a challenge.
