We have a 7 Layer huge Nacho plate.
Re-fried beans.
Green Chilies.
Avocados with garlic, onion and tomato chopped.
Sliced Olives.
Sour Cream.
Tomatoes
Topped with Cheddar Cheese and white cheese shredded.
With tortilla chips and Frito Corn Chips.
Meat tray.
Shrimp dip.
Clam dip
Chile Bean and cheese dip
Potato Salad.
Macaroni and shrimp Salad
Baked beans.
Homemade Parker House rolls.
Everyone brings their own favorite goodies to share.

Traditionally, my table is well prepared for the new year's eve. I see to it that special dishes that we don't normally enjoy on a day to day basis is on the table. Not much, but just enough for the family.
As an asian, I follow the norms to welcome the new year like having food and ornaments that bring good luck, good health and prosperity.
As a Christian, I follow the teachings of my religion.

You must eat Crowder Peas or Black Eyed Peas on New Years Day or you will go hungry some time during the coming year. That's a southern custom. I believe this cause my daddy said so.

we always eat roast pork, rice and beans, and plantains, I'm Cuban and husband is Puerto Rican, so this is both traditional and cultural. My family (Cuban side) has always had the tradition of eating 12 grapes at midnight, one for good luck for each of the 12 coming months. I've passed this tradition down to my own family, and we do this every New Year's Eve.

Black eyed peas with ham hocks, corn bread, and collards.
My wife is Cajun and this has been our New Years Day meal for every one of the forty-three years we've been together. And this year the joy is compounded because our eldest daughter is bringing a new son-in-law to join in the festivities.

Stuffed mushrooms and defrosted shrimp with cocktail sauce are the New Year's Eve staples in my house. I'm going to my bf's this year, though and I'm bringing chocolate fondue because I got a Hershey Kiss fondue set for Christmas and don't know how else to get rid of the stuff...aah family and their weird gift ideas.

We always had a big feast on New Years Day. That way you would eat all year long. My mom would cook a lot of cabbage and put old coins in it. Whoever got the oldest coin would have the best luck.

Center cut pork roast with sauerkraut. It used to be a PA Dutch traditional New Years Day meal back in my younger days. I live in the south now so we have collard greens and black eyed peas with the pork roast.

I always have pizza and wings for New Year's , nothing cultural, it's just something that I've done for decades.
As for new year's day, I try to have pork or ham as I've heard pork is considered lucky. I usually make sweet potatoes with it also. Something handed down from my mum.

I have a Hang over stew that I make it's called Menudo.....with corn tortillas, lemon, oregano(cultural)
New years Eve just lost of snacks...salami, cheese onion dip, avocado dip,( fun neither regional or cultural) ........................New Years Day clam chowder(white) in french bread bowls, wine from Napa Valley ....whole crabs....( regional)
