I used the microtex microfiber 3 pack from walmart with some water and besides it scratching my chrome it just kept spreading the dust around the rims making it almost impossible to remove it all.
What fabric will work best to not scratch and dust these chrome rims with just water for storing them in the winter preferrably something that can be found in common stores.

there has been room dust sitting on them for a couple weeks so its collected decent amount any techniques besides certain fabric to make dust not scratch chrome

When I had a Harley, I used an old pillow case and Pledge on my chrome. The Pledge removed dust, and made nice and shiny. Made it easier to remove bugs at a later date too.

Microfiber cloths will catch the dust and trap it , great for dusting . we use them at work just for that purpose.
