Come on. Life is life and legislation never does anything but make criminals. People need to understand and learn about those who seem different and that works both ways. It is a life lesson. Notice that there are blacks that go to southern universities and there sure did not used to be. But people finally realized that we need each other and need to change our disgraceful attitudes so we can all exist together in this world.

Laws can never create equality. What good did forced dusing in the 50's and 60's do, besides create race riots and a cause for Black Panthers and the Klan to fight over?
Equality can only come about through education and understanding, and the realization that there are no majorities and minorities, but only people.

Majority and minority status must have commensurate representation in the Legislature so that the constituents that they represent will be given the appropriate voice in lawmaking proceedings.

I realize that most "human rights" activists would tell you otherwise, but that's why they usually fail.

Why should there be any difference in the rights we have legislative or otherwise?
