if you know someont theyll do it for free. honestly its pretty easy. if your changing more than one wire just make sure you connect the wire in the same place on both ends. and make sure you get the right length. you can just do it yourself.

It is a common deception that a later model car needs new wires. With the high voltage they are carrying, the Oem wires are manufactured to the highest standards, in general, and unless tampered with, don't need replacing. There are a few exceptions, however. Have your engine scanned to find faulty sensors. This is more likely a problem.

You don't need a mechanic to replace the spark plug wires. But what you might need is a good diagnostic shop to tell you where your problem is. Sure, you *could* need spark plug wires, but there are so many places your motor could be malfunctioning.

One last suggestion- taking wires to a mechanic to replace would be like taking eggs to a restaurant because you want some fried eggs. Would you want to be the restauranteur whose customers carry eggs in and ask "how much to fry 'em?"

go to an auto store and ask someone to look up your car on the computer. tell that person what you want to buy. to replace the wires just lay the new set out from the longest to the shortest. take one wire at a time from your car and match the length to the new one. put on one wire at a time and you will have saved yourself a fast hundred bucks my friend.

varies widely from car to car. just the wires should not be a big job on most cars. perhaps half hour labor approx. however at our shop we install top end wires true we mark them up but we also get them at whole sale so the price is very close to what anyone would pay at the parts store.

NEVER buy a part for the mechanic to install!!!....He'll give you the discount when he orders and installs it........so its cheaper to let them buy it for you
