How can you get get that bubbly feeling that you get when for example you jump into a freezing cold lake. You know its going to be cold but you do it anyway, and then feel so alive and everything looks so sharp. It's like an adrenalin rush or something. How can you feel like that, and is it possible to keep it for a long period of time?

It probably is a natural adrenalin rush to enable you to swim strongly and fast to shore before you succumb to hypothermia. You could get the same feeling by bungee jumping, sky-diving or using drugs (which I.m not recommending). It is much better to just feel joy or enthusiasm from natural day to day activities.

You are guaranteed Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness by our (USA) founding documents. They sort of mislead one into thinking happiness is something transitory and must be pursued; it doesn't. It can last for long periods even as ecstasy. I can't remember it but I think a baby feels bubbly and, alive and everything is sharp and in focus when they are cooing happily. Try achieving that state again. Think Back and/or observe the activities of a rug-rat!

Good luck in achieving happiness, good mental health, peace and Love!
