you could get it groomed professionally if you're not sure. it' s about 20 bucks.or, you could just do it yourself. yes, the point is to be completely shaven so it would look immaculate in effect. if it's your first time, using a mirror will help because you might cut yourself by acccident. also, don't shave so close to the skin...it's sensitive there especially for the first time . on the other hand, maybe you should wait till you find a better reason for shaving. there is no standard for what our private zones should look like..it should look the way it's been looking and developing since birth. i know guys that have said they got turned off by that zone but only because the hygiene was bad; never about the way it looked. unless the guy has perverse issues, they don't critically analyze or attach importance to it's esthetic appeal. they attach importance in you as a person, not just a body part.

WOHHHH! Calm down!
How you groom is up to YOU, not what your man wants!
If he demands you do it a special way then make him do it that way too!!
I, personally, shave once every 2 months... It goes from smooth to about an inch of hair and then I start all over.
That is just personal preference.
The best way to do it is to go out and buy an electric shaver. The same kind that men use for their face. Make sure it has a "Razor" edge AND a safety shaver at the tip.
Then you can use the razor type for the thick or long stuff and the safety end for the stubble.
There is NOTHING worse then a razor cut down there!
Vagina's are not very pretty... no matter what you do... But accept what you have!
There are women out there that actually go to a plastic surgen and have their labia manora cut off so that their "neko's" look like porn star's...
That is just evil!
Every woman is different just like every man is different... So PLEASE mellow out and remember that your man should be happy with YOU, not what he makes you do!

Hair grooming is a personal choice. There is no "supposed" to look like. If you like shaving it, than do it. If you don't, then don't. Most people don't shave it all off. Most shave a little and leave some hair. But many more don't shave at all. Guys tend to like a little grooming though. Most guys that is.

There is no "right" way for a vagina to look. Do what ever you are most comfortable with, don't worry about what guys will like because every man is different and they don't all prefer the same thing.

Puberty brings new meaning to maintaining "good hygiene practices." As the female adolescent body matures, hormones cause oil and sweat glands to secrete these bodily fluids in greater amounts and more often. Thus, good hygiene practices contribute to overall good health. The female adolescent should be reminded to care for her body, skin, and hair with daily baths or showers and an antiperspirant/deodorant. Also, during the menstrual period, girls should remember to frequently change their feminine hygiene products in order to prevent bad odors and infections.
-about every four to six hours.
If the female adolescent wipes forward, she reduce the risk of transferring bacteria, such as E-coli, from the anus to the vagina and the urethra, which can result in an unwanted infection, such as a urinary tract infection. The female adolescent should also be instructed not to wash inside the vagina unless the gynecologist instructs her to do so. For example, some female adolescents try to wash inside the vagina with harsh soaps or try to spray the area with deodorants or perfumes. None of these practices are necessary, and can be harmful because harsh soaps, perfumes, and vaginal deodorants can change the normal fluids inside the vagina, and can irritate the skin inside the vagina. Proper care of the vagina includes gently washing the genital area with clean water or clean water with bath soap, by gently separating the outer lips to clean away the secretions that collect in this area.
It is also important for the female adolescent to note the color and consistency of the normal discharge flow and how it changes during the monthly cycle. For example, female adolescent discharge patterns may not always be the same --- it may be clear at times or a bit whitish

Most guys only really care about the lower half. The top part can be left alone. The lower half needs to be trimmed or clean, if you have a partner that likes oral. If you are not having sex, then don't even worry about it untill you have a partner. At that time, you can ask him about any preferences he may have.

Well I hope he wouldn't charge you. Lol. But I bet its a little uncomfortable to ask. So just tell him that u think your have a problem down there and since he's a gynecologist and u don't want to have to wait in waiting rooms if he could take a look. ~Bailey.

This is really a matter of your own personal choice. You can do a little, a lot, or nothing at all, except, of course, to be clean. Don't feel pressured by what anyone else does. Do what you are comfortable with.

Trim it, don't shave down to the skin cause you'll get rashy, itchy bumpy skin... then shave right down to the skin on the sides, the bikini line... that's the best way.
