The above answer from Fraginal is flatly incorrect.

Tenants by the Entirety is a form of ownership only possible when the joint owners are husband and wife. A property held as "tenants by the entirety" may only be reached by creditors of joint debts of a husband and wife.

The specifics of inheritance law vary by state, however, upon the death of one spouse, if the property is held in this form, generally the full property passes to the surviving spouse.

Tenants by entirety means all the tenants occupying a property.
