It's hard to pick because they were most of the influence on folk and acoustic artists of today. They have many covers done by other bands.
I like both of them equally but since you asked 'or.' I'l have to go with The Cure.

The Cure is awesome. I've tried to listen to Radiohead many times and just can't get into listening to them and I've listened to 1,000's of different groups.
