It all depends...try to dry the phone as best as possible. It probably will not work about an hour after you take it out of the water. However when it dries, you should be able to use it for a while. Sooner or later it will crash because the water will corode the circuit board in the inside of the phone and cell phone insurances will not cover water damage so replacing the phone will be pretty expensive. Unless the phone is an upstage because Sprint can't open it...I got a new phone for that reason!

I dropped mine in captain morgans parrot bay and 7 up and it worked... But dont try turning it on until its completely dry and that could take up to 48 hours. If it doesnt work after that then its not going to and you should recycle it. Oh and DONT use a blow dryer... thats common sense When electrical things heat up they tend to not work anymore. Same as with water but mine beat the odds I suppose

it will probably not work aymore, but if it went in water not long ago then you should take it apart (the front cover, battery, sim and anything else thats removable) and leave them for a few hours or over night to dry out, and with a bit of luck it wont be too late!

it will probably fry, unless it is not on.
you might try removing the battery immediately and air drying the whole thing for 24 hours before reassembling and turning it on.
there is a small chip built in the phone which will register the contact with moisture (chemical reaction) so don't try to fool the provider when you turn it in for repair or replacement.

I imagine that the display is shot. Try putting it in some uncooked rice and take off the battery pack. Maybe it will dry out and work.

.......you can try taking the battery off and drying with a hair dryer...or put it somewhere warm not hot to melt it for a few days to see if it drys out...with battery removed...maybe a low setting in the oven like 120-130 overnight...
Sorry electronics and water do not mix well

i accidentally washed my phone in the washing machine... i just put it in the dryer with the rest of my clothes, and when it came out it turned right on and worked perfectly... why don't you try taking yours apart and blow-drying it? that i might work for you. good luck!
