When the Yahoo Community, meaning other users of Answers, deem your question or answer as unacceptable and they report it, you will receive an email that states "The Answers Community reported your (q... or a...) for violation such and such...."
If it's just a violation notice, it will say Violation Notice as the heading and that is the one that was either randomly tagged by the Yahoo system or removed by an employee.

I have lots of experience with violations. Community violations come because a "reliable" person reported you. Other violations come because a user (or more than one) reported you and yahoo "agreed" and removed the question. Of course, yahoo agrees that everything is a violation.

Most of the time it is other people on here reporting you to Yahoo. One question I had asked was deleted and I still don't understand why. What I asked was about being older then dirt. I had no obscene words or anything vulgar in it. It is a mystery for sure on why this happens to good questions.

Got a bunch of them babe, chances are someone did and yahoo agreed with them. Of course everything is a violation these days. I don't ask much anymore but now I get them for answers.

I get more angry than sad. This is supposed to be a knowledge-sharing forum, but being right is no armor against being booted. If the screwnuts want to hide from the truth, why the hell are they asking questions here anyway?

It means that 2 reliable people have reported you. Or, yahoo caught you.

That's what I would think. Could be Yahoo seen the violation first & deleted it & then sent you a violation notice. ~~~~

Either a user reported you, or you've been reported in the past and are tagged, likely.
