When my sister was pregnant she would smell something burning or smoke all the time! That is how we always knew she was having a baby. This happened 5 times!!! I am not saying you are but it may be a possible reason for this. Hope this helps!

Same thing happens to me!!! Wow! I thought I was the only one. I can't explain it though. Just thought I had a sensitive enough nose to smell a neighbor smoking from a distance and somehow it seeped into my home, even with closed windows. Sometimes it's fresh like someone is smoking in the same room but it goes away completely.

About the smell of smoke when none is present, don't take it lightly. This may be a symptom of a serious medical condition such as a brain tumor. See your doctor!

I am kinda a fan of the supernatural so If it is anything it could be either:
poltergiest ( a spirit that tends to attach itself to a certain person for one reason or other)

a certain memory that has entwined itself with nature which is an unexplained phenomena which occours in areas of high sysmic activity.

OR, it is also possibly something medical because the brain can sometimes imprint a taste, or smell onto itself causing you to think that you are tasting, smelling a certain smell or taste. (In this case you may want to see a nueroligist.)

Hope I was of help.

Well..it can mean a few things. Bu basically, It may just be that a presence is around you-and they are smoking. Doesn't mean it's an evil spirit, just means they like to chain smoke =)

No not an evil spirit. And relax, you are probably not going crazy - olfactory hallucinations are extremely rare in psychotic disorders. You probably have an extremely sensitive nose. Otherwise have you hit your head recently=0) Do not worry unless you hear the evil spirit speak to you=0)

Lucky you, I smell something (or someone, more like it) burning like a house is burning with someone still in side.
Try talking to a religious professional about it, maybe they can bless you against evil spirits, that should help.
If it doesn't help talk to a neurologist about it.
Good luck.

Sometimes that kind of smoke lingers for days before it vanishes, it could be that it's coming in from the outside, where someone is smoking. A very bad habit.

This has nothing to do with an evil spirit. It may, however, have some physiological significance that you will want to have checked out by a neurologist. These types of olfactory hallucinations can be indicative of migraines, sensory seizures or other neurological conditions.

its a loved one that has passed over that is just letting you know they are around you. think of someone that either smoked or was a firefighter something of that nature. its a blessing.
