Well, it's funny you should say that because I was just talking to the woman down the road about this - the one who grows sprouts in an old bath - and she reckoned she would because there are these people who just go on and on and on and never get to the point just waffle aimlessly in order maybe to make themselves feel important so she said she'd give them a thumbs down but she doesn't because she doesn't own a computer and in fact her house doesn't have any electricity and she doesn't have any hands either so I don't know what she's on about and her sprouts are awful as well, but, as for me, well. it would depend on the time of the month even though I'm male and don't actually menstruate which, when you think about it, is a stupid word because men don't do it so it should be called womenstruate though someone would probably say that was sexist or something, but overall yes I do get quite annoyed when people waffle on and digress all over the bloody place I mean do they think anyone reads the crap they write and I certainly don't and I've got better things to do than waste my time thumbing down these tossers so no.

Not because they are "long-winded" nor "boring", but because they (the answers) sound offensive to the one asking the question. I do not believe anyone should "bash" the one asking the question(s).
I believe that the people answering the question should stick to the topic and not go off on a tangent.
To the questionnaire, his/her question makes a lot of sense.
There are no dumb questions...just dumb answers!!
I am one of the "long-winded" ones! I have only indicated 'thumbs down' only two answers out of more than 1,000 I have seen and/or answered.

Yes. People sometimes think that the longer the better, so they ramble on and on about some boring facts that have nothing to do with the question. The take up most of the page. :-PP I just thumbs down the answer.

No, I only give a thumbs down if I think the answer is incorrect, mean spirited or just harmful. What may seem long and boring to you may be informative and just what the asker needs and wants to read.

No, I personally believe it's a bad idea to. I like long answers, they're usually the most accurate, thought-out, and helpful (usually, but not always); frankly, I'd rather have to read a lot to find an awesome answer than to see a bunch of small, quick ones that don't always answer everything.
