If you offered yourself as a witness, the police will probably consider that you are entitled to know her condition. Their report will have the hospital that she was taken to.

Call the hospitals in your area and tell them the accident location (street and cross-street, or nearby landmark). Perhaps they will be able to give your information to her or her family and call you back if they get permission.
You might also want to contact the local police with the same information. They might want you to provide a statement as an eyewitness, and if the hospital cannot take your name to her, perhaps the police can pass your info along.
Neither the police nor the hospital might be able to release information about the victim to you without her (or her family's) permission, though. Not sure.

Contact the local hospitals. They aren't allowed to release much information if any at all if you don't even have her name. Did you help the police write a report? (like a witness or something?) If so, you can contact the officer that wrote the report. He/She may be able to give you some vague information.

That's horrible, I know how you feel, years ago I saw a wee boy being knocked down, I was in terrible shock. I phoned the police station and they told me he would be OK, and 2 days later phoned to say he was recovering very well. This was in the U.K. Maybe you should try the same, hope the outcome is good.

Contact the local police in that area. You are a witness to a possible crime. They probably will want to talk with you.
