I took it (OrthoTricyclin Lo) regularly for 5-6 months, then I stopped. I have been off now for about 6 months and my periods have still not gone back to normal. I get my period every two weeks now instead of 28 days like it used to be. My doctor tells me that it's normal, and just to wait, but I don't know if I should go for a second opinion. Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated.
Thank you.

It takes 2 to 3 months for your cycle to go back to normal.

It can take about 3 months for the body to adjust to being off the pill but because it's been 6 months I would recommend getting a second opinion, preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the doctor you currently use to see what they think could be going on.
