I currently have 3 in left ear and 4 in my right ear (lucky 7),
when I was a teenager, I had 12 in one, 10 in the other, I think
that was too many.
Whadaya think?

Well...I would say 11. That is when I was going through a fad when I was a kid, and I kept getting my ears pierced, and had my own perception of what I needed and on which ear, where on my ear...etc. At the time I thought that it was a perfectly normal thing to do...was to get lots of piercings in the ear (only)...until I got up to about eleven. Keep in mind, I grew up in the 80's and 90's by the time I got to high school, and my perception in that time was that this was normal, and not having lots of ear piercings was...let's say lacking...by number eleven I quit there, so that must have been enough to be sufficient yet tasteful.
edit to add: by the way, I had eight in left ear, and three in my right ear done.

Once you have 4 or 5 in each ear, you should really consider moving on to other body parts. You'll want to balance out your face with a few nose piercings and a row of lip piercings.

i think 3 or 4 is perfect..10 is definitely WAY to many! but i think 4 is cute because you can wear cute nice earrings or rebellious ones, and it can go either way, but with 12 you really are going to freak out anyone over the age of 30 no matter what

Well there isn't a set limit. So whatever you feel is too many is too many. Even my teacher has ear rings all the way up her ear and i think it looks cool. So if you want more put more if not don't

3 in the two bottom ears 1 at one of the top of either ear
Oh yea if 7 is your lucky number i sugget take one out our right ear and put it farther up =)

I set my limit at about 4 in each ear. Too many more than that I think make a persons ear look either too flashy, too infected or too droopy.

2 in each ear. I'm to old for more. Back in my day, more than the normal 1 in each ear was really considered wild & making a statement!

I think 3 is nice. I had a lot of piercings when I was a teenager as well. I regret those for some reason yet still LOVE my tattoo. LOL

12 can fit in an ear? god thats alot!! i have 3 in one ear and 2 on the other and thts as far as I would go myself but if you like alot then its your opinion

The limit is 2-3. Try not to destroy your auricular cartilage, because it will never heal. Your lobules and your Darwinian Tubercles are my suggestive locations. Don't make your earrings too heavy otherwise you will have bifid lobules. If it is too late, disregard this.
