from centrelink. My money is not used to pay bills as my husband takes care of those but I want to make a credit history of my own. Does anyone know of any banks that may approve me or are personal lenders the way to go? Has anyone had any experiences with these types of lenders? I am looking to return to work sometime in 2008 therefore will also be able to repay more once this happens.

your best bet is to wait until you get back to work and have a proven steady income and than buy some big item the family needs on your own using the item for security and you be the only one on he note!!! i.e. new washer/dryer!!!

Do not go for Ahan it is short for conman. I would suggest go through your local credit union once you start working. Establish a good work history, have direct deposit and show them you can save money once you have done that they will give you a loan at least to start out with. It will start you on a good credit history. Plus they will take you payments directly out of you account every month so you never have a late payment.
