Does anyone know if Ron Paul has an official stance on NASA and if so, what is it?

I am guessing that he would completely deregulate the "space industry" while dramatically cutting funding for NASA, resulting in a short-term drop in American abilities to explore space, but a long term jump as the industry is privatized and the efficiency of the private sector takes over.

Any ideas?

Is NASA a big issue? I would think not having a micro-chip inserted into your person or not having a National ID card forced upon you, or not having your ever move watched by the government, or not being told what your children learn, or not telling us what our children will eat at school, or taking away the federal income tax (which is an illegal tax to begin with) those should be bigger issues for you as a FREE American citizen and not if ET is phoning home.

well, In a freemarket......if you ran nasa as a buisness, they would not be dependent on the free ride, and we could go back to feeding the hungry and housing the homeless with the money saved......He would put priorities first...US !

I have not heard anything directly but I am guessing his idea would be to privatize NASA and to cut federal government funding to the program. Like I said, I don't know for sure on this issue.

If you want to explore space, then you should send money to NASA.

Wait, you already do send money to NASA through your taxes.

I think certain federal funded programs should be a choice and people should be able to check or uncheck where their taxes go to.

The space industry could just as well be privatized. The space shuttle and space station are great pieces of engineering, but horribly expensive. Yes, there are some technological breakthroughs, but much of it is just another corporate subsidy.

Yes he would privatize it and turn it over to corporate interests

I think he would cut it; it's a waste of money if it isn't for purposes of protecting the U.S.. (in my opinion).

Why don't you go to his web site and look it up?!

I would think that folks would be able to do some research on candidates by themselves instead of asking regular folks like us...who mostly GUESS to support their own theories and agendas.

Before you vote:
RESEARCH!--COMPARE CANDIDATES.
RESEARCH!--COMPARE CANDIDATES.
RESEARCH!--COMPARE CANDIDATES.

Otherwise you are throwing SOMEONE ELSE'S
