Being with my son on christmas eve and all the lights are out in the living room except for the tree. And the walls are reflecting the light and the whole room is lit up. Its a very warm feeling being with loved ones and seeing the lights on the tree. Thats my favorite highlight !

All the birthday wishes I received on here !!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad most of you had some part of Christmas to enjoy -it wouldn't do if we were all the same.would it ?
I 'm sorry that some of you have sad memories and the one person I really feel sorry for is Mrs Evans in Llandudno.
A few years ago,her son 'Wellie' was in a helicopter and shot down in Iraq, soon after her husband, Gordon died and on Christmas Eve ,her younger son died in a car crash - what a dreadful time she must have had.

Unfortunately for me Bex I didn't have a highlight as a friend passed away on Christmas Eve and all I could think of was his poor family and what they were going through at Christmas. Hope you had a good one though! xx

It's a nostalgic memory. We spent the last Christmas in the home we bought in 1969. My daughter and her husband live there now and my ex-husband has told them they have to vacate because he wants to rent it out for more money. He's also kicking my grandson and his family out of the home where he's lived for the past 7 years. My ex owns a lot of property. It;s his money and no one can complain. It was still very poignant to look around and realize it will be the last time we'll all be there. We had a wonderful time and we'll all survive.

Bex ~ The whole day was just fantastic, from getting up in Christmas Morning, to seeing the kids opening their present, to the gorgeous dinner we all had at Seans' mums. Everything was perfect and it was the one day (!!) when, neither of the kids had a bad word to say about each other!!
Absolute Heaven!!lol

It would have been the candle on the top of my Christmas tree,Bex if I had had one this year (ha ha!).
It's funny because I have had a quiet Christmas this year and can't think of a particular highlight - but then there's seven days of Christmas to go - those geese may still come a-laying cadbury's cream eggs! (as long as I don't end up with the drummers drumming - I want a bit of peace and quiet to think this Christmas).
Maybe it was my middle grandson writing a joke in my Christmas card from him to cheer me up -

Connecting this to the fantasy, do in simple terms no longer underestimate what you think of is in simple terms too small or no longer seen to the attention.
