The music,the words or both? This may sound like a silly question but sometimes i can like a song that is not in my taste or style of music but love the words because they mean something.

oh no, it's not silly at all.
most of the time i like a song for the story it conveys or if the lyrics are just plain beautiful.
however if the tune is fab i can find myself humming away even if it has a shallow meaning.

As long as the music I am listening to has a good beat to it, then I am fine with everything else in the song. I usually listen to a lot of hard rock/metal, so I don't usually listen to singers who like to showoff their vocal chords. I like listening to the beat of the drums and the electric sounds of the guitar. That is the type of music that turns me on.

I usually like the beat and then listen to the words usually the beat draws me in and the words get me hooked or turn me completly off

The song has to have meaning to it for it to be considered one of my favs. I agree...even if it's not in my typical taste of music, if it has a meaning I can relate to, I like it.

I like spiritual music..And different music. Not about shooting people and getting with hoes.
