I admire Bruce Springsteen for his strength and amazing song writing.
I like Sting because he has been able to fuse so many different kinds of music and musicians... blending Europe with Asia and Africa.... maybe a little bit in the footsteps of Peter Gabriel...I like the fact that after his days with The Police, he continued experimenting and becoming a more mature artist
So for me Sting is the one I prefer.

In what? I prefer Springsteen in songwriting, but I like The Police more than Bruce Springsteen. I'm not a big fan of Sting's solo career though, so I guess Springsteen overall.

Interesting question because I love The Police, but CANNOT stomach Sting as a solo act. Springsteen is a classic songwriter and performer, who also performs well by himself. I guess I talked myself into picking Springsteen, but it's an "apples and oranges" comparison.

Influence: they are both legends, Bruce was obviously way more influential than Sting.
Lyrics: they are both great songwriters but I'm gonna go with Sting, i just love his lyrics more.
Solo career: they both had amazing solo careers but Bruce's solo career was obviously more solid (Born To Run, Born in the U.S.A., etc..)
Overall: overall I'd say Bruce wins.
Personally I'm a fan of both but i prefer Sting, to me he's just special, i love, love The Boos though.

Sting has better songs
Both with Police and solo. At least for my taste.
That doesnt mean I dont like bruce, I like him too, just like sting more.
