Around $60-80 million for the white house alone.
That is in 1950's dollars too.

Evidently not enough dough was left to get other family members in the Senate.

Poor Theodore... The lone Kennedy in the Senate. Not even his own father let him drive on bootleg runs... Theodore Kennedy can't even keep a car between bridge rails...

Add in that stunt to protect Teddy and I'm sure the cost was a serious burden. Serious enough to keep that fool in the Senate for 40 years.

Organized crime in Chicago helped JFK win Illinois, my guess it cost Joe Kennedy a whole bunch, but a set dollar amount of money none of us will ever know.

what ever it was it was worth it no criminal has ever been legitimised like daddy joe and the illicit liquor fortune is still intact. Al capone could have learned a thing or two from Kennedy.

I hope not much for Teddy, because he sure did not get much for his money Plus ,it appears he drank his stills dry also, He like a fly just left around to aggravate.
