I am a girl, but I am starting to get into hockey.
I am not going to play on a team because its too expensive.
but
I just want a hockey stick so I can play with my friends when they play and just shoot a puck/ball around when im by myself.

I am 14, right handed, we don't play on ice that much unless if I get invited to a birthday party. And I am 5 foot 3.

Any tips on what to do when getting a hockey stick.
Any websites would help!
Thanks!
My spending limit is $45.00, I know thats not much to work with but thats all I got.

If you have a Play It Again Sports in your area, check with them for any used sticks.

The best advice is to ask someone at a hockey shop and tell them what you are looking to do.

You want a stick that has a gradual curve to the blade (from the heel to the toe). Sticks with really deep curves tend to be for more developed skaters.

Just a word of advice, if you are playing in the streets, in just your shoes, trying to use the same stick on ice is going to feel odd because of the height difference. Even rollerblades are different heights than ice skates.

If you cut the stick to the right length for street hockey, then it will be too short while you play on ice, which means you will strain your back.

Not a big deal, but just a word of advice. I'd probably get 1 stick now for street hockey, then get another later when you plan on doing more ice.

The stick i admire isn't utilized by employing many even though it is super. it is the TPS reaction Plus-80 5 flex-Messier curve. in case you will locate this stick, attempt it out through fact it is actual no longer that high priced.

A wooden or fiberglass CCM Vector would be $30 - $45 and it's an ideal road hockey and ice hockey stick. Considering I play hockey, take it from experience.

I'm thinking wood for you. If you aren't playing competitively, no point in paying money for a competitive stick.

Wood lasts longer than any of the composite sticks in use today.
Wood is less expensive than any of the composite sticks in use today.
