I want to start all-star cheerleading this spring and I'll be 15. I don't really have much tumbling skills. But I love cheerleading, I guess you can call it a passion. I'm getting ready for the tryouts. I've been working out since Nov. and getting better. So is it too late? Everyone says I'm going to have some what of a disadvantage since the team I'm trying out for is really good and plus the girls have been on the team for atleast two years. So what do you think?

omg me too. i really wanna cheerlead for an all-star team! I'm 14 and don't have much cheerleading experience. I was going to try out this spring but i also want to do high school cheerleading. Your not too old! Since your 15 you'll most likely be in the Senior division and then there are different levels! You'll be on level 2 i think. But you don't have that much of a disadvantage because once you're on the team you'll be tumbling/ practicing with the team AT LEAST 2 times a week! You can even take private classes so you'll be right where you should be! Good Luck!

No, that's not too old. Just keep working out, and work on your weakest point.

Don't be shy around the girls either.

Most gyms have multiple teams levels. They'll put you on the one that your skills are suited for.
