It doesn't matter. They're Hondas, and that's what's important. Civics can't be beat. Everybody wants one. They don't lose any of their value down the road. They're the best there is out there.

"I don't know whats FAST about any civic i have drove all SI- vetec types and i can only say that,, Yes it's a thrill ride".
But "I've personaly gotten more kicks from a Integra GSR type R "
but if performance is what you want from a Civic, the SI sedan for > room < and the >coupe< for a sporty look would be a choice if i wanted a Honda.
if you are looking for a performance JDM car the Nissan Altima SE-R "performs better than Civic SI in the HP/ TQ" and MPG is not that bad for thoes numbers too.
Yea i know its a V6 & not a 4 banger, but then compare the Sentra SE-R Spec-V to an SI then you will see whats the good buy on the performance side. Remember i did say at first,,,, Civic SI < Ok, if this is the only car on your list.
Now if want >"true performance"< get a >350Z< or if you want style and performance buy a G-35 or 37coupe they are way tighter than any Civic built & it will kill a SI from a dead Start off the line. NISMO is real performance.

With fuel prices going up I rather get a regular Honda Civic sedan or coupe that a Si model.
I have a 2007 Honda Civic vti (entry level) sedan and it gets great gas mileage.

obviously the si coupe and sedan will get a tad bit less mileage do to the more powerful engine. the si's are VERY nice cars. the most stylish is probably the most stylish and the fastest.

I think if you are going to get a sports car, it should be a coupe. The SI certainly fits the bill, with a 6-speed shifter and increased horsepower. I also recommend the summer tires and upgraded suspension for increased performance.
