Or does it mean i can boot it up and get it set up and then get online?

Neither one. What it means is that your computer has a wireless network card that you can use to connect to a network. If there is Internet access on that network then you can access it. If you find an unsecured connection and are able to connect try to use your IE. If it does not connect go to: Tools ->Internet Options-> Connections->LAN and select automatically detect settings. Close the browser and re-start it. It should work

LAN = a Land Line however I think you have ethernet not internet...though I could be wrong.
