None and I mean None are telling the truth, they are all in it for themselves.
They all have to answer to the special interest group that is paying for their Campaign .
They all pledge to do something about this and that, but besides looking for a sound bite they will skate the issue once elected.

we believe them because they went to law school, they experienced how government works, and we don't have any better ideas to help besides scolding them for not perfectly handling the government. Of course they can't do many things they say they do. They pledge to do something and we get all upset. Yeah, they look for sound bites, because we criticize the hell out of politicians, people in America right now are scrutinizing the people who actually work to help us. Sound bites are the only thing they can do now. We hate our own President, we are very opinionated, and we got people who just watch the news argue about politics, and think they can do better. We have all the same choice for President, everyone running for President is the same, they have the balls to face us, who will criticize, judge, protest, and scold them for whatever reason. We can never truly tell if they are liars. They will just always be liars, because the majority of us call them liars and it will never stop till they are all in the grave. Really your question is just expressing your dislike for those running for President. Your question is a statement. We don't believe any liars running for President. We do need better choices but currently we choose to have the worst choices possible, hating our democratic government. We are in bad times. You shouldn't treat this as a question. This is fuel to useless argument. I don't want to fight with you. I don't want to upset you ,but i want you just accept you can't do anything to help with expression. This will only intimidate those attempting to help us.

cmon...the liberals were very happy with arguably the worst president in history, bill clinton, so what makes you think more choices will make any difference. the idea that they would nominate and possibly elect his wife, a knowing willing participant of the first clinton..."legacy" is a sad and sick, but valid commentary accenting the idea that liberals are happy with choices far less than correct or excellent. bottom line. belief is a totally moot point. this is all about power and position and the liberals are hungry for both. ethics, candor and honesty have little to do with it.

Irv hit it on the head. I didn't think we could do worse than George Bush in 04 and then came along John Kerry. Talk about dumb and dumber.

Kerry windsurfing and hunting were almost as good as Dukakis in the tank.

If you automatically assume that all candidates are lying, then how will you know when you have received "BETTER AND MORE CHOICES"?

I think Ron Paul is actually truthful. I don't agree with everything he advocates, but he sure comes across as honest. It's interesting to note that even though he is serving his 10th term in Congress he has refused to participate in the Congressional pension plan because he believes it is not the role of government to pay for his retirement.

I suggest you watch a few of his videos on YouTube.

Mark Twain

There is no distinctly native American criminal class save Congress.

Reader, suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself.
Mark Twain

No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the congress is in session.
Mark Twain

Congressman is the trivialist distinction for a full grown man.
Mark Twain

Fleas can be taught nearly anything that a Congressman can.
Mark Twain

Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.
George Orwell

“In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.”
Franklin D. Roosevelt

When they call the roll in the Senate, the Senators do not know whether to answer 'present' or 'not guilty.'
Theodore Roosevelt

The government consists of a gang of men exactly like you and me. They have, taking one with another, no special talent for the business of government; they have only a talent for getting and holding office.
Henry Louis Mencken (1880- 1956)

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
Henry Louis Mencken (1880- 1956 )

When a new source of taxation is found it never means, in practice, that an old source is abandoned. It merely means that the politicians have two ways of milking the taxpayer where they had only one before.
H L Mencken

The state remains, as it was in the beginning, the common enemy of all well-disposed, industrious and decent men.

They make speeches about they must have taxes, and every politician knows what is being done in Alaska. Alaska Pays all their residents with earth rights and doesn’t tax their residents. This makes the politicians liars!

They make speeches to get elected and make promises about what they will do for us. They say nothing about getting every dime of lobby money to do what big biz wants that’s opposite what they promised you they would do. That makes them cheats!

They stole your grandmother’s retirement money from SS. Now you face getting nothing for your SS payments. That makes them thieves!

They tax us, but they know the foreign companies pay no taxes on the goods they sell here. The goods are sold then bought on paper in a foreign port to skate the tax laws. Thus eliminating their profit on paper to cheat the US out of the taxes they owe. This makes them backstabbers!

They take lobby money to put earmarks and pork in every law that passes their desk. Then they do photo ops, and news clips to promote themselves as doing something good for us and America. So they corkscrew us!

They make back room deals and give our tax money to foreigners who build factories with our money. Then they write laws that send our jobs overseas. This makes them dirty dealers!

So lets total all this up. They lie, cheat, steal, backstab, corkscrew, and dirty deal. HELL their Flim Flam Men! Just like in the George C. Scott movie “ The Flim Flam Man”!
They are called the “ Honorable” Senator or Representative. Hell Flim Flam Men have NO honor what so ever! They’re crooks, criminals for God’s sake!

The BBC has film of ALL of them going in and out of Abramoff’s restaurant. That’s THE place in DC to get loaded with lobby money. The BBC has been running this story, and trying to get the US media to run it too. The US media refuses to run the story.

It’s time to take America back! Get registered! VOTE! Vote for anyone that’s not a Democrat or a Republican. They have ALL the power and ALL the control. They must bear ALL the responsibility for their gross mismanagement, abysmally poor judgment, lies, cheating, thefts, back stabs, corkscrews, and dirty deals! It’s time to put THEM in the unemployment line!

Do you have any proof of what you say? I happen to agree with you but I have no proof either. So why don't you say something like, "I don't believe any candidate is truthful when they say....." Instead of outright accusing them of lying with no proof? What if we're wrong about one or two of them?

2007-12-28 01:56:21 · answer #9 · answered by Ken B 6 · 0 1

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. Let's look at, for one example, Hillary Clinton. No matter what anyone says about her, the thing we shouldn't ignore is that she's dedicated her entire life to public service, just like Joe Biden, and even John McCain. So there is something to respect them for, even if they aren't perfect.

The system is the way it is, they (the politicians) did not create it. If there is anyone to blame for much of what goes on in politics, it's the media.
