When I was in my home country, I was happy every hr, min and sec. As soon as I got out of the airplane, I could verbally say "I'm very happy." After returning home in the US, I'm now unhappy every hr, min and sec. Everyday, I talk to my friends and tell them I'm not happy.

My husband (live in) was the same way. He has finally came to terms with the fact that he needs to be here and making the money he is making in order to help his mother and siblings in Mexico. I don't know where you are from but I'm sure there has to be some reason you are here. If not GO HOME! Try to find some good things about America if you have to be here. Stop dwelling on all the bad stuff about here and all the good things about there. Look at your homeland as a Super Vacation Spot and look at America as your means of living. If you try a little harder I know you can make this work. Good Luck!!! LIFE IS ONLY AS GOOD AS YOU MAKE IT!!!!

Maybe going back to your country will make you happy because you miss your own kind where you feel happy with. It's hard to be in a different culture without being homesick. Try it for another 6 months and if that doesn't work then make plans to go home where you know happiness is waiting for you;

sorry but dont take this the wrong way, but if you are not happy being in america then go back to your home country. you must be here for a reason, what that is there are other places that you could get that. no one should stay in a situation that makes them unhappy

GO HOME!!!!! We have plenty of unhappy people here already. Too many in fact. The market for unhappy people is completely dried up. Very sorry about that but what do you expect in a free market economy. So either get happy or go home. Klatu barada nicto, baby.

Welcome to club! I have been living here for the past 27 years
and to this day I have an emptiness that has dwelled with me
from that day to this one. I only accept the difference, but it
is not what I wanted to do. Being alone without a family of
my own has been the worst thing ever for me.

I will suggest you get into a group, of your own people
and try to adjust, if not life can be miserable, and boring.

I left my home certain circumstances kept me here and I've been miserable. So I had my family send me some stuff from home for Christmas, simple things like water from a mountain sping that I used to drink from. Those little things are just enough to get me through until I can return.

First of all, I think you need to find out what is causing your mood swings. It seems that there is something you omitted. However, the best things to do is talk about your problems and compare to what you are missing from the US and your home country. Maybe there you can find the answer.

The more you tell yourself you are unhappy, the more unhappy you will be. Why don't you figure out what it is you miss and start making changes here.
