why would they do that it is stupid godzilla is like 100 meters tall while king kong is just like 40 feet high they over exagerated in the movie

...if you think that's stupid, would you believe that the original concept for this movie was supposed to pit Godzilla against an enlarged Frankenstein??? It's true!! Japan's Toho Studios couldn't get the rights from Universal Studios, for use of the Frankenstein monster, but RKO Pictures was willing to temporarily lend the rights to King Kong....and so, we ended up with a cheezy Wrestlemania-like battle-royale bout between Godzilla and Kong...
...of course, eventually, Toho DID eventually get the rights to use the Frankenstein monster's image, in "Frankenstein Conquers the World", as well as for a sequel, which was re-edited as a separate film for American release, with all the Frankenstein references removed, and retitled "War of the Gargantuas"...
