i know that les paul is a great guitar,seeing as i just got my first one, but i was wondering, is there or was there a person named les paul who they named the guitar after?

yes, he invented the electric guitar, as well as the multi track recorder. he also had a couple hit records.

I'm definetely not 100% sure, but I believe that Les Paul is the person who first created the Les Paul Guitar. It would probably tell you for sure on Wikipedia or the Epiphone site.

Yes, there was a real Les Paul. He and his wife Mary Ford were very popular on the music scene quite some years ago. I liked the stuff they did - still do.

yes les paul is the one.. he also designed the sg short for solid guitar....
