It seems to me that industries will just move to third world countries where the UN can't tax them, which would have a negative effect, if you even buy the story that man is causing global warming.

Any thoughts?

None of that matters. What matters is that GE invested in carbon credits and other major players hold a big stake in the profiting of global warming. The trickle down effect will not effect them financilly, only the average person who works for a living. It shall be done. They have billions of dollars to add to their portfolios and your childrens children will really suffer for it more then we will. If Gore was so worried about the earth he would attack Monsanto Chemical for poisoning the lanscape with all herbacides, pesticides and altered food sources. Oh no way, too much money at stake for Monsanto and it's investors.

The Kyoto treaty only helps the wealthy nations pollute more. "OOPS! We released way too much carbon. Here's your check."

Just becomes the cost of doing business.

It would help to insure that only the wealthy (e.g. Gore) would be able to afford to drive anywhere.
