Actually, it's not that uncommon for this to happen to women, especially ones who've borne children. Talk to the doctor, but it's probably nothing. You might wear a pad for comfort's sake, and change it frequently. As you get older, this will happen when you sneeze or laugh really hard too. It's a major pain in the ... neck.
As for the coughing, it could be from allergies, asthma, sinuses or some kind of medication you take for some else. Blood pressure medicine is notorious for causing coughing.
I've had a chronic cough for the last 23 years. It comes on whenever it wants, and lasts for 3 to 4 months at a time. I've been tested for everything from asthma to tuberculosis, and everything comes back negative. At it's worse, nothing helps, but eventually codeine cough syrup will allow me to sleep. Prednisone has helped occasionally, but since I have diabetes and prednisone wrecks havoc on your blood sugar, I really can't take it. Vicodin helps. I fractured a rib from the coughing once, and the vicodin they gave me for that stopped the coughing enough for me to get some much needed sleep.

I would use a humidifier also if the cough last for more than 3 days there might be an infection my daughter got an infection at that age and that was because I wait alittle to long because I listened to others instead of my dr He told me a cough over 3 days old should be checked by a dr for a more serious condition. Good luck

You need to see a urologist. Your cough is probably not something you would even notice except for the urinary problem, so go to the doctor and have them check THAT out.
There's meds and even surgery that can be done to fix it.
In the meantime, do Kegel exercises to strengthen the urinary muscles. Just squeeze tight down there as if you were cutting off your stream of urine, and hold for as long as you can. Do this several times in a row, and do it whenever you can.
That should help, hopefully.

If you are still coughing all this time then you need to get back to the doctors. There is no way you should be coughing for this length of time, you need medical attention. As for leaking urine when you cough, you can do pelvic floor exercises which will strengthen the muscles which control your bladder. I would also mention this to your doctor, who will be able to ascertain if there is anything wrong other than weak muscle control.

Sounds like the problem is with your bladder, not your lungs.
Coughing is normal, having urine come out when you do is not.
