You may need to turn the WiFi on.
There may be a button on your laptop.
(On airplanes they may ask you to turn off this option)
You may need to go to your network settings to pick a network.
Start > Control Panel >Network Connections
This should bring up your network adapters.
Select your wireless adapter
Under Network tasks view available networks
This should bring up networks that your laptop can detect.
Select the strongest signal that you have access to.
If you are trying to access a secured network for the first time, you will need to know the WEP or WPA key.

Make sure the wi-fi feature is turned on. Click "start", click, "connect to", and a list will come up to the available connections. Some are password protected, so you will have to know the password. Personally, I would be awary of using wi-fi in an unfamiliar place, because your compuer is connected to the guy with the wi-fi hook up, and you get computer viruses and get messed up good.

Wi-fi allows you wireless internet capabilities meaning that you can maintain internet access within a given radius, depending on your wireless router (which you will have to purchase). Once you get one, I think you have to plug your LAN cord (its usually yellow and is used for internet) into your router. Your computer should pick up this signal that the router sends out. I'm pretty if you go to Control Panel, then Network and Internet connections you can set it up.

Well, I do not know the exact price for it but you can make your laptop with wi-fi by using PCMCIA card. It's available in the market. After installing this device then you can browse the internet. Or you can buy USB wireless device which is the same thing.

if your within range of a wi-fi signal, your computer should auto detect a signal....but if it does not and you know the signal is there......go to the Control Panel in your computer, and look for something called " Wireless assistant " or something like that, and run it. hope this helped.

Yes. Anywhere that has wi-fi, will work with your laptop.

It should automatically detect any in range wireless and give you the option to connect.
