It all depends on where you're from, what are you wanting to achieve financially etc. Also what will your work consist of, what will you be doing etc.The amount, $4,000.00 is not that much compared to the average salary of American contractors in Iraq. But other people from other countries such as the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka would considered this amount very large compared to their average salary back in their own country.

Depends on the job...
I already have done military contract jobs, and am heading to the mid-east for another in a few weeks. These jobs allow someone who isn't normally a 'white-collar' earner to get some serious money for thier soldier's skills. These jobs also free up military personnel from having to do auxilliary and support roles. $4K is about mid level average for Iraq. Front line security workers make even more.

I wouldn't do it for $1 million USD per day...I've already been there making much more than $4000 per month, and nearly died as a result. No thanks...my safety means more to me than money I'll make but not live to spend. Next!

Sure why not, my only fear is that Americans would mistake me for "their enemy" and probably bomb my innocent area/town.
Its worth it since in America our President can't even make enough jobs for his people, jobs else where are necessary.
