I have a 98 Dodge Neon. My car is hesitating, the service engine light is on, the fan belt is squeeling, and it has lack of power. Does anyone know why it is doing that? I recently had a tune up done on it. I thought that might be the problem, but it is still doing the samething. I also thought it might have something to do with the octane, so I used some fuel injector and octane booster.

the squeaking belt is just a loose one..
lack of power??it just means poor tune up or the octane booster does not match the boost that your car really needs

sounds like you need a fuel pump or your cat is clogged or could be a sensor. I've also seen that if you have a lean misfire from lack of fuel you will set a C E light

Sounds like you have an accesory or idler pulley that has seized up.
Remove the belt and check each pulley for side play and free spinning.

Mmmm that sounds like a bad maintenance to me. Could be one thing or a combination of things. Take it to Auto Zone, they have a scanner that reads the computer. That will help to pin point the issue.

Good Luck :-)
