I believe that truck has 2 fuse boxes one under hood driver side and one under stearing wheel. I don't think check engine light will have a fuse. It most likely will control a lot of dash lights. Auto Zone will check the light free

if your check engine light is on its indicating you have an emissions problem. ie gas cap not on tight enough, oxygen sensor is bad. something along those lines. generally when your check engine light comes on its not the end of the world but a simple diagnostics can determine what is wrong. you can even take your vehicle to an autozone and have them run your vehicle on a scan tool and tell you the code. you call the dealer give them the code and they can tell you what is wrong...tada!! then you fix. but sorry no fuse for just one light.

if you just want the light to go out, pull out the instrument panel and take the bulb out from behind the check engine indicator. If you are trying to pull one over on an unsuspecting buyer, keep in mind that all cars illuminate all trouble lamps when you turn on the key. this allows you to check if the bulbs work to the indicator lamps.

Why not take it to autozone and just pull the code? may be something simple.

Go to the Chevrolet website and you can read the owner's manual, print parts or all of it. That should tell you where the fuses are located.
