the total number of games 7+5+3=15
therefore 15 is 100% of the games played
since they won 7 games out of the 15 total:
you now know that 15 is 100% so you can substitute x for 7 and 100 for 15
the equation now becomes: 7/15=x/100 now solve for x
7 times 100 = 15x
700 = 15x
100/15 = x
46.67 =x
therefore the bulldogs won 46.67% of the games they played

Ok here I usually times by 100 to get 150, then 15 is 10 percent, and 1.5 is 1%

They won 70 games out of 150, leaving 80 games either drawn or lost,lets say.

75 is 50% so we need to find the value of 10, which is 1/15 of the total.

Divide 10 by 1.5 = 6x1.5=9 then the remaining 1= 0.66 of 1.5 so 6.66% is the value of 1 or 10.

Ok I know this is long! then, if 6.666%x15%=100% then 75 is 50% +5 which must be 3.333%(half of 10 which is 6.666%) =80=53.333% the remainder of which, is your answer........
