I think I would have liked to see Willie Mays when he first came into the big leagues. That man had the most courage of any ballplayer I have ever heard of.

Probably the period just after Ruth and Gehrig. I guess the thirties - before WWII. That's probably the period where baseball was truly the number one sport. I'd love to see Dizzy Dean and some of the pitching greats from that era.

i would like to have seen the early 1900's because the redsox had a really good team and the best players. Like Cy Young and Babe Ruth (trader).
