Some people manage square root signs, powers and all sorts, while I struggle with ^2 and sqrt and log(base3).
Can anyone show me how to do it, please?

There are 2 ways to type those letters and symbols. There are alt codes which are "ALT nnn" where the numbers for nnn must be typed on the keypad. There are also HTML entities that will work on many forums, including here. The format for those are &xxx;. Here are links for both of them.

I never tried it, but I think you have to do it in a Word document then paste it over.
